Not so Baby Proof

About a month ago Samuel became very mobile. Lately he has been rolling constantly across the living room and getting his hands on EVERYTHING! So... this is what part of our living room looks like right now. These doors at one point in time did have curtains however, you can see that they no longer exist. Samuel loves the feeling of fabric so of course he went straight for them. As he is pulling them down he loves to say Daaa...daaa...daaa and he gets really aggressive with them. But the funny thing is that this wasn't even the worse part. As I glance over at him the yarn that was once in a nice rolled up ball is now wrapped all the way around him while chewing on the knitting sticks. Oh well... just another day in paradise.

Shepherding a Child's Heart

Lately, I have been reading Shepherding a Child's Heart by Tedd Tripp. I am only a couple of chapters in but God has defiantly challenged me in ways that I have never expected. This book talks about how to speak to the heart of you child. This is a little bit of what the back of the book says... the things your child does and says flows from the heart. Luke 6:45 puts it this way,"... out of the overflow of the heart the mouth speaks."(NIV) By reading these first couple of chapters I am starting to understand the importance of parents in a child's life at a whole different level. Not only am I learning about how to be a godly parent, but God continues to show me how deep his love is for me and how He is truly the roots of our family.

Newbie

I am extremely excited to start blogging! I have been wanting to blog for sometime now, but just haven't gotten around to it. Thanks to one of my good friends Triniti who introduced me to this site and helped me get up an running! I love the atmosphere of the blogging world and I am very excited to get inspired by other bloggers!
